Questions before you engrave

What is a Gray16 depth map?

It's a 16-bit grayscale image where brightness equals height. Black (0) is the deepest point, white (65,535) the highest. Your laser software reads those values and removes material layer by layer to recreate the relief.

Which lasers and software does it work with?

The files are built for fiber and galvo lasers doing 3D or deep relief engraving. Any software that imports a 16-bit grayscale PNG as a depth or height map can use them, for example the 3D engraving modes in LightBurn or EzCad.

Which materials can I engrave?

Brass, copper, stainless steel, aluminium and other metals your fiber laser handles. Brass and copper previews are included for every design so you can see the result in advance.

Can I sell what I engrave?

Yes. You can sell physical products engraved with these designs. Reselling or sharing the digital files themselves is not allowed.

What if I need a size other than 40 or 50 mm?

Use the Gray16 master included with each design. It's high-resolution, so you can scale it up for pendants, plaques and larger inserts.

How do I receive the files?

Right after checkout you get a download link. The bundle is organised in folders by category and design, so you can grab only what you need.

I'm new to 3D engraving. Is this for me?

Yes. The hardest part of 3D engraving is making a good map, and that work is done. Start with a 40 mm brass blank, run one design, and adjust depth to taste.
